4 Months of Life-Heart Surgery

Nox’s case was discussed at primary children yesterday. He has been having a hard time progressing with his oxygen and it was time to have the specialist up north look at everything. We will be going up to primary children’s for him to have a procedure done in the next few days. With that being said, things have been very emotional over the last few weeks leading up to his due date, and even more so now with the care plan they’ll be taking to help him get better. This is the right thing to happen but it’s stressful and scary. We want to keep you all as updated as possible but ask for some time before sharing any more updates. For me, it’s been hard to talk about and process everything going on, simply because it’s not the road we want to be on. Once things settle down a bit, I’ll share another update, but until then, We are focusing on Nox and on ourselves. We love and appreciate all of you and your support—it truly doesn’t go unnoticed. We just need a little time, that’s all.

I’m finally getting all of Nox’s things put together and will be setting up his nursery before we go. I’ve been going through all the amazing gifts he received at his baby shower and from the registry, and I just wanted to say how completely overwhelmed I am by how loved he already is. There are so many wonderful things he got, and we couldn’t be more thankful for each and every gift. Thank you all for being by our side—and more importantly, by Nox’s side. He is so loved already, and we feel fully prepared to bring him home thanks to all of you ❤️

Surgery just got scheduled, Nox will be going in on the 16th to have his heart fixed

Made it up to primary children’s yesterday. We are anticipating Monday for Nox to have his procedure

Nox got done with surgery just after 3:00. He did amazing, the doctor was very pleased with how the device looks. They will follow up with imaging tomorrow morning to make sure it is still in the right spot

Realized I haven’t posted a picture of Nox for some time. He’s getting sooo big and looking more and more like his dad every day. He’s the most perfect, handsome boy ever and has been responding so well after surgery. We couldn’t be more excited and can’t wait for him to come home. 

He now weights 8lbs and is 19inches!
